A non-expert, non-professional guide to cooking, eating and creating a healthy lifestyle.
First would have to be the little man pictured with me in the profile photo- my dog Reilly. He’s a 5 year old min pin who is quirky (understatement) but a Prince! In fact, he will often be referred to as “the Prince” or Ry Ry Prince Baby. I know- if you’re not a dog lover, it’s pretty disgusting, but hang in there- lucky for you this is not an animal blog :)
Chris is my amazing boyfriend who is incredibly supportive of this new healthy lifestyle and is my live-in test subject of all recipes, meals. He is also a Prince, but I try not to tell him too often so his head does not get any bigger. We both already have abnormally large heads.
Jules & Brooke are my best friends in the world. Jules is on the Bootcamp plan with me as well and is doing great (although I think she hates me because she gets less calories a day than I do J). And we’ve been trying to have at least weekly healthy dinners together. She’s also my cohort in figuring out exactly the maximum amount of wine we can drink and still stay in our calorie range. Brooke is my oldest friend- since high school, and college roommate who moved from sunny San Diego to NYC about 4 months ago for a great job and we miss her terribly! I think she’s probably wondering what happened to her pizza eating, Mexican food loving friend who is now writing a health blog??
My younger sister Kurd is the final character. And no that’s not her real name, but it is what we call her. In fact, it’s been so long since anyone called her by her real name- I think my parents may be the only ones who remember it… I just tell people she came from Kurdistan. Aren’t they all blonde with blue eyes over there?
So there you have it- obviously there are far more people who influence me every day and may show up in blog land from time to time, but these are the ones you will see frequently. They also consider themselves the funniest, best looking, most charming people I know- so maybe that’s why I picked them :)
Cool article! I actually love fajitas and tortillas so learning about which (or which not) to choose was useful! Nice idea, great site!
